Angel is a qualified yoga instructor who specialises in pregnancy, post-natal and mum & baby yoga. She has been practising yoga for a decade and has been teaching since she was pregnant with her first baby in 2018. She has first hand experience of both the physical and mental benefits of pregnancy yoga. Yoga helped her maintain her fitness throughout pregnancy while equipping her with useful breathing techniques and mindset for birth preparation. Yoga was truly an incredible gift for her and her baby. Not only she enjoys teaching yoga to connect with other mums and mummy-to-be's, being able to help other ladies and their babies brings her the greatest sense of satisfaction.

Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy and giving birth can have significant physical and emotional impact on your body. Post-natal yoga allows you to recover your body and mind, helping you feel more in control of your emotions, as well as offering support to your body to repair and regain strength. My class focuses on:

 

  • Release upper body pain and tension that can be caused by breastfeeding, holding baby and other heavy lifting (e.g. car seats)

  • Strengthening and balancing poses to increase energy and encourage postpartum recovery 

  • Providing a safe environment for new mums to connect and share their experiences of birth and as a new mum

No yoga experience required.

Please note:

You are advised not to join the class if you are less than 6 weeks postpartum (for uncomplicated birth) or 12 weeks postpartum (for more complicated birth including cesarean).

Mum & Baby Yoga

Yoga brings happiness to you and your baby. Exercise helps to release hormones that relieve stress and improve sleep quality for both mums and babies.

My class typically involves:

 

  • Yoga poses to strengthen and relax your body and mind

  • Interaction and physical touch between you and baby that encourages baby's brain and emotional development

  • Special bonding time between you and baby through yoga while also getting to connect with other new mums and babies too

No yoga experience required.

Please note:

You are advised not to join the class if you are less than 6 weeks postpartum (for uncomplicated birth) or 12 weeks postpartum (for more complicated birth including cesarean).

This class is suitable for babies up to crawling stage.

Strictly one adult per baby for safety (e.g. additional adult is required for twin)

WHY YOGA

Why yoga?

Practising yoga during pregnancy bring numerous benefits to expectant mothers and babies. My class typically consists of a combination of gentle strengthening and relaxation poses with the goal to help you:

 

  • Prepare for childbirth through building strength, stamina and flexibility

  • Strengthen the muscle groups that tend to compromise due to the increased body weight

  • Improve body alignments to allow more space for joints and growth of baby 

  • Relax and focus on birth using suitable breathing techniques

  • Improve wellbeing throughout pregnancy

No yoga experience required.

Please note:

You are advised NOT to join the class if you are less than 12 weeks pregnant or before your first scan.
